Experience the magic of a Lapland winter on a husky safari with Rami’s Huskies.
10km and 15km husky safaris in the vicinity of Ylläs amidst stunning scenery
We will go on a husky safari through the beautiful, varied terrain of Lapland. The route is suitable for both first-timers and more experienced travellers. After the driving instructions, we will set off led by Rami. Two people will travel in each sled, and there is an opportunity to swap driving shifts halfway. If there is an odd number of participants in the group, one person will get to drive their own team.
After the excursion, the dogs are rewarded with pats and praise, after which we move to the kota to warm up. We chat over a hot drink and fresh bun – a moment where the rush is forgotten and the silence of Lapland feels particularly strong. The total duration of the programmes is approximately 2 hours and 2.5 hours.

Premium 10km husky safari
Experience the magic of a Lapland winter on a 10 km husky safari with Rami's Huskies. This experience is designed for small groups who want a calm, personal and authentic husky experience without the rush of large groups. After driving instructions, we set off led by Rami with the husky sleds into the beautiful and varied winter landscapes of the Ylläs region. Two people travel in each sled, and driving turns can be swapped during the safari. The route is suitable for both first-timers and those who have tried dog sledding before. After the safari there is time to thank the dogs with pats and praise, after which we move to a warm kota to enjoy a hot drink and a fresh bun.
Premium 15km husky safari

This experience is designed for small groups who want a calm, personal and authentic husky experience without the rush of large groups. After driving instructions, we set off led by Rami with the husky sleds into the beautiful and varied winter landscapes of the Ylläs region. Good to know about our safaris:
- ●Riding a sled is a physical activity. Please contact us in advance if you have any disabilities, illnesses, or physical characteristics that could affect your participation in the programme.
- ●If several people in the group do not wish to drive the sled themselves, please contact us before making the booking so we can check how to arrange this.
- ●The frost limit is -35 degrees Celsius. If we have to cancel the safari due to this limit, the customer will receive a full refund. Due to exceptional weather conditions, we reserve the right to modify or change the programme without separate compensation.
- ●Layering your clothes according to the weather is important. If needed, we have overalls, boots, and mittens to borrow.
- ●Not recommended for pregnant women during the last trimester.
- ●Not recommended for those under 13 years of age. Teenagers aged 13 and over may drive a sleigh with parental permission, if conditions allow. However, the final decision on this will be made by the guide on site.
- ●Participation in the safari is not permitted under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- ●Please note that we are open by appointment only, and only those participating in the programme will be granted access to the premises.
- ●It is recommended to have travel insurance.
