About Rami’s Huskies

Rami's Huskies is a genuinely local family business in Finnish Lapland, offering authentic husky safaris in the peaceful village of Kallo. Our story began in 1996 when Rami acquired his first sled dogs, and the company was officially founded in 2001. We specialise in small, personal and calmer husky safaris through the beautiful, varied winter landscapes of the Ylläs region.

Our safaris are designed for couples, families and small groups who want a memorable and intimate encounter with Lapland nature, sled dogs and a local guide. Groups are kept small – 1–4 people on private safaris and 2–6 on Premium safaris – so that each guest enjoys a peaceful and personal experience.

Rami has lived his entire life in Kallo, about 25 km from Ylläsjärvi, 40 km from Äkäslompolo and 60 km from Levi. In 2021, Rami's Huskies was recognised as Business of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year out of over 800 businesses in Kittilä. We build our operations on responsibility, the wellbeing of our dogs and respect for Lapland's nature.
